The ModboCo School of Art announces new 2016 classes for Adults! Classes begin the week of May 9th. Bijou St., 80903. All classes include 9 sessions and are taught by award winning local artist Brett Andrus. Now in its seventh year, the ModboCo School of Art offers classes for most ages and skill levels. The ModboCo’s mission is to provide our students with an access point to art making, as well as a safe place to fail. We aim to celebrate our students’ growth, challenge them, and ensure quality in our teaching. Mondays from 5:15-7:15 pm, beginning May 9th, Drawing 101, $175
If you have never drawn before, or feel rusty on your drawing skills, this is the class for you! Students will be taught basic sight reading, handling of media, artistic vocabulary, still life and life drawing, and introduction to perspective. This class is the perfect starting point for all classes in the ModboCo curriculum.
Mondays from 7:30-9:30 pm, beginning May 9th, Fundamentals of Watercolor, $175
This class will feature lots of experimentation and in-studio work with models as well as some landscape and plein air painting. There will be a focus on the medium and technique of watercolor.
Tuesdays from 6 pm til 8 pm, beginning May 10th, Advanced Studio, $175
Are you currently creating a body of work? Or stuck in a rut? This critique and studio class may be just the thing for you. Artists are invited to bring in their works in progress during this course. There will be a few sessions with models, lots of discussion, and the chance to learn from both the instructor and your peers.
